It probably could @Theodotos Andreou, but that depends on what you use the desktop for.
You would have to connect a disk, probably.
It would be interesting, to have a desktop that takes about 15W instead of the usual 100W or so.

Should be more or less the same as on Debian. Did noot try it yet. My Pi is off for the moment.

Typical staff like browsing, writing docs, viewing videos now and then. Extra bonus if it can play basic games like supertux, etc.
